Model Stocks, or Greatest Winners, are historical case studies that formed the basis of the William O’Neil + Co. methodology.
Model Stocks are indicated by a gold tab at the top of the Symbol view. The date on the tab indicates the year that the stock began its historical bull run.
The Datagraph under these gold tabs shows the timeframe that this stock was considered a historical winner. Choose to view the daily, weekly, or monthly chart.
The Model Stock stamp in the top left corner of the chart shows the stock’s percentage gain over that period.
Click the gray tab under the company name to view a Summary Block from that period and a Case Study on what made this stock a Greatest Winner.
Case Study
The Case Study block also contains details on the base pattern that led to the significant run-up. Click on the Pivot, Top, or Bottom dates in blue to change the chart end-date to that date.
Click the View Full Case Study link to launch an in-depth PDF document with more information about the company’s history, its business and products, and why it was considered a Model Stock by the William O’Neil + Co. methodology.
